D Street Reconstruction
Street pipe replacement means a blank-slate rebuild from Petaluma Blvd to El Rose with improved bike lanes.
D Street is a grand entrance into Petaluma, passing by historic homes from the City Limit into downtown. It also makes up part of the proposed Park2Park Crosstown Bikeway, which connects over a dozen major destinations for recreation, schools, shopping and transit. It poses a challenge: can we create a design that slows down cars and truck enough to allow protected bike lanes and parking along the entire street?
