What We Do

Take action to make the most of our streets…

Petaluma’s streets, sidewalks, and paths are common threads binding our community together. While safety remains our foundational goal, a citywide network of “complete streets” offers far more—revitalizing our local economy, protecting our natural environment, and fostering the long-term health of every Petaluman.

Creating safe & complete streets

We Educate and Advocate

  • Group bike ride

We host regular rides, like “First Friday @ 5”, to bring the community together and explore our bikeways.

  • Volunteer experts

Our volunteer experts support Petaluma City staff and commissions in developing complete-streets plans, standards and designs.

  • Active transportation

Through online outreach and in-person events, we explain how active transportation works and how it benefits the community.

  • Rallying public support

We rally public support for safer streets and encourage residents to take action -- like signing our Complete Streets petition.

Thompson Creek Trail grand reopening

We help Petalumans 'test-drive' the future. By building demos with local partners, we ensure neighbors can experience and improve designs before they become permanent—capping off successful projects with a celebration.
