Get Togethers

You’re invited to attend and participate in these events, sponsored by Safe Streets Petaluma and other community and local government organizations.

The best way to learn about Safe Streets Petaluma and related events is to follow us on Instagram and Facebook, and sign up for our monthly newsletter using the form below.

Recurring gatherings:

  • Monthly meeting: an open meeting with an agenda, from 4-5 sharp, on the second Sunday of the month. Location varies.

  • Steering Committee: a small group that meets fortnightly on Monday mornings. We discuss our projects and priorities and make decisions that are then communicated in our monthly meetings and via a Google Group. Membership in this Steering Committee is open to anyone who is interested in what we’re doing and is committed to actively participating.

  • Pedestrian and Bicycle Advisory Commission (PBAC): this is a City-sponsored body with a critical role in the implementation of Petaluma’s complete streets network. They meet on the first Wednesday of each month at 6:30 P.M., at the City Council chambers

  • First Friday Rides: these are primarily recreational, but offer the opportunity to meet other safe streets supporters. And, they typically finish up at a local watering hole for more conversation and collaborations.

We don’t track everything of interest to Safe Streets Petaluma. Here are calendars of other local groups we support:
