Rainier Avenue & Maria Roundabout
Barrier-protected bike lanes and new roundabout, crosswalks
This project includes pavement reconstruction along with safety/accessibility upgrades, including new and enhanced crosswalks, protected bike lanes, and a new landscaped roundabout at Rainier Avenue and Maria Drive. Funded by Measure U, this is the first project approved following the new Active Transportation Plan. It observes best practices for complete streets -- a strong first step with many more to come. .
