Community Rides

In Fall 2024 family friendly community bike rides in Petaluma will continue as a collaboration of Bike Petaluma, Cool Petaluma, and Safe Streets Petaluma. Here's what's planned. Feel free to email info@safestreetspetaluma.org for any questions on the rides.

September 2024 Rides 

Friday, September 6 — First Friday at Five

Join us on September 6 to enjoy riding the Westside neighborhood streets, including the newly improved bike facilities and traffic calming on D Street. We’ll start from Walnut Park as usual at 5:00 pm — be sure to arrive by 4:55 for the safety briefing. Complete route is TBA, but as always, the ride will be family-friendly, mostly flat, and 1 to 1¼ hour in duration.

Saturday, September 14 — Second Saturday

Bike Petaluma invites one and all to the final Second Saturday ride of the year. Meet at Aqus Cafe on September 14, 10:00 AM.

Thursday, September 19— Third Thursday

Harvest Beats! 

This fun new event is happening at the Fairgrounds on the 3rd Thursday in September, from 4:00 to 8:00 PM! Bike on over with friends and family — remember to bring lights for the ride home — and take advantage of the Free Bike Valet! Come shop for local fruits, veggies, and handmade crafts, and enjoy a picnic dinner (bring your own or grab a bite from a food truck) while listening to fantastic live music, starting at 6:00 PM. Let’s make this an annual summer celebration of music, food, and community!
